The reader behind the cards
I am Elena Marlowe, the founder and sole reader of Amberlight Oracle. Every sitting — in my Fifth Avenue studio or over video — is with me personally, with the same deck I have read for fourteen years.
From a kitchen table in Queens
My grandmother read playing cards for neighbours, and I inherited both her deck and her bluntness. What began as party readings in my twenties became a formal apprenticeship, then certification, then — in 2016 — Amberlight Oracle, named for the amber lamp that has lit every reading table I have ever kept.
Today I read for first-time sitters and long-standing clients alike: founders before launches, brides before vows, and plenty of people who simply feel stuck and want an honest mirror. My style is warm but direct — I will tell you what the cards show, including the parts you may not want to hear.
- 3,000+ private sittingsIn person and online, across twenty countries.
- One reader, one deckYou always sit with me — never an associate.
- Confidential by oathWhat is said at the table stays at the table.
Fourteen years at the table
First paid sitting
A neighbour's career question, a borrowed deck, and an answer that proved accurate within the month. I have kept written records of my readings ever since.
Amberlight opens
Certified and full-time, I opened the Fifth Avenue studio and began teaching the beginner circle that grew into today's coaching classes.
Readings worldwide
The practice moved online alongside the studio, and my client circle grew to twenty countries — with the same rituals, the same lamp, the same deck.
Trained, tested, and accountable
I hold professional certification in tarot consultancy, including examined readings and a written ethics code: no fear-based predictions, no invented curses requiring paid removal, and honest referral to counsellors or doctors when a question sits outside the cards' remit.
Every Amberlight reading follows that code. If the cards cannot answer your question, I will say so in the first ten minutes and you will not be charged.
