Laying your first spread
No experience, no deck, no mystic background required. Four evenings from your first shuffle to a complete past–present–future reading performed by you, for the circle.
Hands on cards, first night
This is the class I wish someone had taught me at nineteen: no memorising seventy-eight meanings before you are allowed to touch the deck. Evening one, you shuffle, draw, and speak. Technique grows around practice, not before it.
By the final evening you lay a three-card line for a fellow student and interpret it start to finish — past, present, and the trajectory between them — with the circle's support and my guidance.
The four-evening arc
Shuffle and draw
Meeting the deck: shuffling, cutting, the daily single-card draw, and saying what you see before you know what it means.
Suits and numbers
The four suits as four areas of life, numbers one to ten as a story arc, and why court cards are people before they are predictions.
The three-card line
Past, present, future — the workhorse spread. Linking cards into sentences instead of reciting meanings one by one.
Your first full reading
Reading night: each student reads for another, start to finish, with feedback from the circle and a completion certificate.
Take-home kit
The Amberlight Tarot Deck, a 60-page workbook, and a thirty-day daily-draw journal to keep the habit alive after class.
Fee and size
$180 for all four evenings including the deck and workbook. Circles capped at eight students, in studio or live online.
Questions, answered
No — the Amberlight Tarot Deck is included in the fee and waiting for you on the first evening. If you already own a deck you love, bring it too; comparison is instructive.
Every evening is recorded and you receive the lesson notes, so you can catch up before the next session. Missing reading night itself can be made up in the following month's circle.
Live — in the Fifth Avenue studio or over video at the same hour. If you prefer to learn alone and at your own pace, the Foundations of Tarot Course in the shop covers the same ground.
